The story of a family

Behind the genuine products of the Sabina brand, there is a story that is worth knowing closely. Today’s products, in fact, are born from a rural tradition, which is associated with the history of a family capable of growing over time.

The cultivation and the part that sees the processing of garlic, are not born today, but are the result of generations that, over the years, have learned from below to cultivate an Irpinia territory unique for its nature.

It is in the countryside of Mirabella Eclano that the Iovanna family has given life, with patience and attachment to the territory, to all the products that today arrive on our tables, with the brand we know as Sabina.

Products that speak of the territory, and of wise choices

The family history sees the cultivation of garlic closely connected to Irpinia. Sabina has chosen to love this territory in depth, accepting the challenges of cultivation when agriculture and work related to the soil were not carried out in a technological and organized way as today.

And, over time, the challenge taken up was precisely that of carrying out the cultivation of garlic methodically, structuring and implementing conscious choices. Which? Let’s see them together.

The first step was to move towards choices that would always allow to preserve all the genuine properties of garlic. This, for the Sabina Agricultural Cooperative, has resulted in respecting a way of growing garlic, which was truly a friend of the earth.

Some plots dedicated to cultivation, today are worked without the use of chemicals. This choice, wise for the product as well as for the person, allows all the aroma and properties of garlic to be placed on tables all over the world.

Maximum production autonomy

The work cycle and production processes are controlled and moderated internally. The productive autonomy of the Sabina Agricultural Cooperative, in fact, has been able to reach the highest levels. This means having full security of your supply chain, both in terms of quality and from the point of view of hygiene.

Furthermore, the distribution of garlic is facilitated by transport methods in full harmony with respect for nutrients. In fact, the sacrifices to optimize an excellent production, without the same care in the part of transport and distribution, would have been worth nothing.

The attention paid to this step is crucial, and is what allows us to keep the taste and quality of the garlic processed by Sabina intact, right up to its use and destination.

The satisfaction of being GMO-free

Today, it is increasingly difficult to have products that arrive intact, in organoleptic terms, on our tables. The victory of the Sabina Agricultural Cooperative is that it does not contain GMOs, or genetically modified organisms.

Precisely for this reason, after so much effort, the Cooperative meets GLOBALGAP standards. We are therefore talking about good practices in favor of agriculture, which raise the long commitment to the cultivation of the soil by the cooperative.

The family story, therefore, continues, and marked by good steps for the environment and cultivation. It is these same steps that give birth to products that are truly designed for the well-being of people and consumers.
